Dear Friends,
On behalf of our team, I would like to extend a heartfelt “THANK YOU” for your continued business this past year. As we begin the second decade of the millennium, we look forward to building and maintaining your gardens so that you may create lasting memories in your back yards with your families and friends.
We wish you a safe, healthy holiday and happy New Year! We have finally received some much needed rainfall. If your sprinkler controller is in your garage and no one is home when we come by, please turn it off for ten to fourteen days after a good soaking.
Our Certified Arborist, Martin, says our tree division provides many services throughout the year for ultimate tree health. Keeping your trees trimmed helps keep them in top health so they can more easily withstand our winds and winter storms. October through March is the time for trimming deciduous trees such as flowering pears, liquid amber, ashes, elms, sycamores as well as many others. This is also the time of year when some trees, such as the sycamores, benefit from spraying to control certain diseases. Other trees that need to be trimmed in the winter months include eucalyptus and pines. The reason these trees are trimmed in the winter is because certain insects are attracted to sap that flows from fresh cuts. During the winter months these trees take a break and the sap stops flowing. No sap flow means there is nothing to attract insects. Spring and fall, we offer feeding for all trees as well as spraying for insects. All year long we will gladly evaluate the health of your trees. Please call us for any and all of your tree needs or concerns. We’re here to help you and your trees enjoy a long and healthy life together.
Please call or e-mail us if there is anything we can help you with in your garden.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
